Footage of the two-year-old American shorthair, named Li Bai, whining with a seemingly grumpy face as he led his owner to his empty bowls melted the hearts of tens of millions on social media.

The Chinese pet owner told MailOnline that her cat was such a 'drama queen' as he would often whine like this to get her attention.
